First Crossfit experience:  My friend and I had been working out at 24 hour fitness and thought we were in good shape.  We went to our first “fundamentals” class at CVBV in 2009 and it was three rounds: 30 WB, 30-box jumps and 400m run.  I was in the worst pain in my life afterwards and I loved it.  I have been hooked ever since.

Favorite movement:  Power clean and HSPU.

Outside of CF: I work in Bellevue at First Republic Bank mon-fri.  On the weekends you’ll find me outdoors with my wife Natalie, mountain biking, or skiing and snowboarding.  She also loves to drag me to Orange Theory when she can to watch me suffer.

Advice for new athletes:  Baby steps and listen to your body and coaches.  You must check your ego at the door because you can be humbled very quickly if you don’t.

Best “mic drop” moment: I done really have too many mic drop moments… I enjoy being humble 🙂
